I recognize Teresa Butler as a Guardian Angel for her efforts throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Teresa has been an advocate and leader for the quality of care to all patients under Burgess’ care. Teresa devotes her time to ensure Burgess is following and implementing change based on best practices, with a commitment to collaboration and efficiency. During the COVID-19 crisis, Teresa stepped forward to work with Public Health, Infection Control, providers, clinical leaders, and many others to ensure we provided clear and timely direction needed to keep all involved safe.
Since March, Teresa has helped guide Incident Command through countless changes brought forth through State and Federal proclamations and organizational needs. Teresa helped clarify and provide the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure the safety of caregivers, she provided direction for re-opening services safely to ensure patients and staff felt comfortable doing so, provided facility entrance guidelines, and many other supports. Teresa is a tremendous part of the Burgess team and is truly deserving of a Guardian Angel award!
