Living Well and Feeling Great with Diabetes Education Series

The Burgess Diabetes Center will be hosting a quarterly learning opportunity about diabetes and how to approach food, activity, medication, and self-care so that you feel good today and stay healthy in the future.

The first of the series is November 9 at 2 p.m. in the Skills Training Room at Burgess Health Center. In this class, you will learn what tools YOU have in YOUR toolbox to stay healthy and manage your A1C, Blood Pressure, and Cholesterol to avoid complications from diabetes.

Upcoming Dates:

February 2024: “Love your heart” – Learn what you can do to avoid life-altering cardiac events and be the best version of you!

May 2024: “Diabetes and Technology” – What are those sensors anyway? I see them on TV all of the time. How do they work, how much does it cost, and why would I want to have something stuck to my arm?

August 2024: “What’s the latest on healthy eating with diabetes?” Are carbs good? What is this intermittent fasting thing? I’m so tired of being on a diet I could scream!
