Bus Trip: The King and I

Burgess Advantage will take a bus trip on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 to see The King and I at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha.

The plot of this musical relates the experiences of Anna; a British schoolteacher hired as part of the King of Siam’s drive to modernize his country. The relationship between the King and Anna is marked by conflict through much of the piece, as well as by a love to which neither can admit.

Cost for the trip is $110 ($20 discount for active Burgess volunteers). It includes a show ticket, dinner at the Upstream Brewing Company, bus fare and all tips. Register by picking up a form at any Burgess location. For more information, call 712-423-9200.

4:15 p.m.         Bus leaves from the Onawa Community Center

5:30 p.m.         Dinner at the Upstream Brewing Company – Omaha Old Market

7:30 p.m.         The King and I Performance – Omaha Orpheum

10:00 p.m.       Depart for home immediately following the performance
