Sara earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2013 and spent several years gaining experience in a variety of social work roles. Her passion for helping others inspired her to continue her education, and she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2023.
Since joining Burgess Mental Health, Sara has trained in multiple therapy approaches and continues to grow under the guidance of seasoned therapists. She especially connects with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). While she enjoys working with individuals of all ages, her current focus is on supporting children, adolescents, and families.
Sara’s approach is rooted in the belief that every person has a story—and her role is to help clients rediscover and continue theirs with strength and resilience.
She finds the most joy in those “light bulb” moments when things begin to click for her clients. Sara is grateful to be part of a supportive team that encourages growth and fosters a positive, collaborative work environment.
