The CEO is responsible to provide leadership, direction, and administration along with community visibility. A Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration and a minimum of 10 years of senior-level management experience is required. A Master’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration and healthcare experience and/or past hospital CEO experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who can build effective teams and communicate at all levels of the organization and community. Burgess Health Center is an independent, community-based, not-for-profit health facility committed to providing comprehensive health care and health-related services in Monona County since 1963. We are located in Onawa, Iowa, with three clinics in Mapleton, Sloan, and Whiting. The hospital has 25 inpatient beds as well as a surgery center and provides cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, emergency care, outpatient clinics and programs, therapies, and radiology. Also included are home health care services, hospice, two wellness centers, and one retail pharmacy.
