Dr. Garred Sr. graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine with his M.D. in 1946. He completed his internship at St. Joseph's Infirmary in Louisville, KY in 1947. Dr. Garred Sr. Fellowships include the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons. He has been a member of the active medical staff since 1963 and is the current Medical Staff President.

Dr. Garred Jr. graduated from Morningside College with his Bachelor of Science in 1975. In May of 1978, he received a Masters of Science in Biology from Creighton University. In May of 1981, he graduated from Creighton University with his medical degree and completed his Surgical Internship and Residency at Creighton University in 1986. Dr. Garred Jr. is board certified in both General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine. He is also a Fellow of American Society of Abdominal Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He has been a member of the active medical staff since June of 1986.

Patrick earned his BSN with a co-major in Psychology from Creighton University in May 1998. He then graduated with his Masters of Science from Creighton University in May 2001. Patrick is Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credential Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Patrick has been a member of the medical staff since August of 2001.
