Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Kits Provided by Burgess Auxiliary
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. During this month attention is given to preventing, treating, and curing colorectal cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute there were approximately 51,370 deaths in the United States last year related to colon and rectal cancers.
Burgess Health Center Auxiliary is working to increase awareness and prevention of colorectal cancer. The Auxiliary provides colorectal disease screening kits free of charge to anyone who would want one, and not just during this awareness month but all year long.
The ColoCARE packets are available at the front desk of Burgess. The packet includes the at-home testing strips and instructions on how to administer the test. Your results are anonymous.
