Dr. Kovar to Join Family Medicine Clinic in Onawa
Family Medicine Clinic P.C. in Onawa is pleased to announce it has expanded its medical staff with the addition of Dr. Brandon Kovar, who will join the practice Aug. 1.
Appointments for new patients are now being scheduled.
A "Welcome Brunch" will be held at the family practice clinic
Sunday, Aug 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by the Burgess Health
Center Auxiliary. The public is invited.
"We look forward to welcoming Dr. Kovar to our community,"
says Dr. Paul Dudley, clinic president. "He has an excellent background
to offer quality medical care to all residents, student athletes, moms and
families. He will be a great addition to our clinic."
Kovar will practice a full spectrum of family medicine with an emphasis
in sports medicine and obstetrics at Family Medicine Clinic every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Fridays he will see patients at Burgess Family Clinics in Dunlap and Sloan. He has joined the Burgess Health Center medical staff.
Kovar received his bachelor's degree in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2002 where he was named an Academic All-American running back for the football team. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 2007 and recently completed a family medicine residency at Clarkson Family Medicine Residency Program in Omaha.
In his free time Kovar enjoys reading, sports, especially Husker football and Creighton basketball.
The clinic also will welcome Dr. Shannon Kennedy in September, bringing two new physicians to the clinic.
