Pancake Breakfast Planned for Big Blue Run Event June 5

Nancy McGrain and her pancake crew are planning to flip pancakes for some 200 walkers and runners at the third annual Big Blue Walk/ Run at Lewis and Clark State Park in Onawa Saturday, June 5 at 8 a.m.
Nancy, the Monona County Youth 4H coordinator, says the large pancake feed is a first effort for the group which will charge a free will offering. Breakfast proceeds will be used to fund 4H scholarships for high school seniors furthering their education.
The Blue Lake event, sponsored by Burgess Health Center and Got 2 Move, offers a 1.5 fun walk for all, 1.5 mile kids run with prizes, 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run. Kids' games will be offered before the youth run at 9:30 a.m.
There also will be drawings for sub sandwiches, Scheels' gift card and IPOD Shuffles. KPTH Fox 44 and KSUX 105.7 will be there, too. Register at burgesshc.org or the before the run until 7:30 a.m
