CVA of Sioux City Starts Burgess Cardiology Clinic

Patients with heart disease now have access to a new outpatient clinic at Burgess Health Center. Cardiovascular Associates (CVA) of Sioux City will offer a specialty clinic every Wednesday beginning July 15.

Four CVA physicians are being credentialed for hospital privileges at Burgess. They are: Drs. Jeffrey Sykes, Kenneth Tjeerdsma, Deborah Majerus and Edward Zajac, Jr. All are board-certified in cardiovascular disease.

CVA will provide stress testing, echocardiograms, consultations and more. The practice has been providing outreach clinic services for 25-years. Its 11 heart specialists now see patients at clinics in 20 Iowa and Nebraska communities.

Creighton Cardiac Center, a long-time cardiology service provider in Onawa, will continue to offer services at its clinic in the Burgess annex on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The two clinics combined now enable area residents to receive cardiology services on the Burgess campus four days a week.
