Organization Expert to Speak at Wear Red Event Feb. 3

Elizabeth Hagen - an organizational expert, motivational speaker and author from Sioux Falls, S.D. - will deliver the address “It's Your Time: Organize with Confidence” at the Wear Red luncheon sponsored by Burgess Health Center Tuesday, Feb. 3 at the Onawa Community Center.

Hagen will discuss how to take action with simple organizing systems and tools for organizing clutter, paper, email and more. She also will have materials for participants and make her book available for purchase at a booth "Organize with Confidence: Simplify Your Life and Make Every Moment Count."

“ Elizabeth helps persons get organized at home as well as in the workplace,” says Jean Pekarek, Wear Red event organizer. “She has tips on how to stay focused, prioritize your day and get more done, something many of us can use in the early part of 2009. If we can be more focused and productive, we can more easily make time to exercise and take better care of our health.”

Hagen, the mother of five children, has spent 25 years developing her organization tools and messages. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and has addressed audiences throughout the Midwest. She will follow an address about heart health by Dr. Claire Hunter of Creighton Cardiac Center.

The Wear Red event will begin with educational booths at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon at 11:45 a.m. and the addresses by Hunter and Hagen. Guests are invited to wear red. Prizes will be awarded for red attire.

Men and women are invited to the luncheon event, a program of Burgess Advantage. Cost is $10 for the public and $8 for active volunteers.

Persons can register at the hospital’s front information desk or ACT II in Onawa. Persons also can mail in reservation forms found at area sites and on the hospital web site at www.burgesshc.org. The reservation deadline is Jan. 30. Learn more by calling Pekarek at 712-423-9201.
