Burgess Staff Sends Soldiers Care Packages

Generous donations from Burgess Health Center employees were sent oversees in care packages this summer to four soldiers who are family members of employees.

Packages included wet ones, ziplock bags, baby powder, trail mix, disposable cameras, chips, instant oatmeal, razors, local newspapers, sun screen, beef jerky, crystal light, puzzle books, playing cards and more.

Soldiers who received the packages were: SPC Nathan Farley, Mark Coble, Lt. Christopher Wickwire, & MM2 Steven Sorenson.
Burgess received a “thank you” post card from one soldier and another stopped by personally to say “thanks” while home on leave.

The special drive was organized by Burgess People Care, a hospital program that organizes gifts and donations for local organizations and special causes. Burgess employees contribute to the program to fund worthy community causes in the area and organize special activities for hospital employees.
