Pekarek at Burgess Now Focuses on Patient Experiences

Jean Pekarek, human resources director for the past 26 years at Burgess Health Center, has been named director of patient experiences, a new position created to reinforce Burgess’ focus on customer service for patients and their families.

In her new role Pekarek manages the service excellence program, works with departments to improve their patient satisfaction survey scores and plans school and community initiatives.

Pekarek previously served as director of human resources for 26 years. She continues to work with the Burgess board of directors, medical staff and volunteer responsibilities as she breaks new ground in enhancing patient satisfaction which is recorded in quarterly Press Ganey patient surveys.

“Jean is ideally suited to work with all the facets of customer service at Burgess,” says Fran Tramp. “She is committed to our mission, knows how to communicate well with all our physicians and staff and listens to the needs of our patients and families.”
