Burgess Honors Volunteers
Some 60 Burgess Health Center volunteers were honored at an annual recognition dinner at the B&B party room last Thursday as part of National Volunteer Week.
Sixty-six volunteers received certificates recognizing their 7,987 hours of service to Burgess.
They were saluted for their work with the hospital gift shop, the hospital lobby information desk, hospital newborn gifts, the ACT II consignment shop, Ventures craft show, blood donation and colon cancer screening promotion, the new surgery hostess service and college scholarship funding.
School children of a local dance studio performed and Bev Collison and Judy Cox, Burgess employees, joined Rhee Zima in presenting a musical program.
These volunteers gathered for an evening or recognition and enjoyment at the Burgess Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner.
